Ed Watkins is a Manchester (UK) based composer for interactive media, film & television.

 

Work includes scoring Creative Assembly's latest fantasy instalment for the Total War franchise, LORDS OF THE END TIMES, and the highly anticipated TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER 40,000 (releasing 2027 on PC, Playstation & Xbox).

 

Ed has also worked previously with Creative Assembly, scoring the Bronze Age strategy epic TOTAL WAR: PHARAOH (including the subsequent DYNASTIES release), as well as contributing to titles such as TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER 3, LEGO: DC SUPERVILLAINS (Tt Games), LEGO: MARVEL AVENGERS (Tt Games), IRON REBELLION (Black Beach Studios) & GRUNND (Sektahouse Studios).

 

For TV & film, Ed has scored the inaugural faith series TESTAMENT (Angel Studios), starring Eben Figueiredo (Star Wars: Rogue One) & Stewart Scudamore (Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2), as well as the feature thriller ASTRAL (Netflix / Craven Street), starring Frank Dillane (Fear the Walking Dead) & Damson Idris (F1, Children of Blood & Bone) and LITTLE FRENCH FISH (dir. Eva Lanska), starring Devora Wilde (Silent Hill 2, Baldur's Gate 3).

 

A background in MIDI production and arranging means Ed has also had the opportunity to work across both film & television alongside many other exceptional writers and musicians, most notably Oscar-winning composer Rachel Portman (Godmothered, A Dog's Perfect Christmas), Chris Egan (Pole to Pole, co-scored with Benjamin Wallfisch) and Barnaby Taylor (Born in China, Dolphins).

 

Outside of music, Ed enjoys life as a mediocre chess enthusiast, dreaming up stories, and reinstalling World of Warcraft every six months.
