Working out of Manchester UK, Ed has provided music for all aspects of today's modern media; work which to date includes numerous studio & independent video game titles, as well as award winning documentary, feature film, short film and television drama. He combines western musical tradition with an interest in experimental digital technique, delivering character & creative identity for every project.
Ed is currently involved with a number of video game productions, working with Black Beach Studios on the VR shooter Iron Rebellion, as well as other independent titles such as GRUNND and Division Games' Black Powder. He has in recent years also provided music for numerous film projects, including the original soundtrack to Chris Mul's debut feature Astral, as well as Bunny, Big Demon Promise and the upcoming Little French Fish, directed by Eva Lanska.
Ed has also worked extensively alongside award winning composers Barnaby Taylor and Ian Livingstone, providing additional music, programming and arrangements across a wide variety of projects, including DisneyNature's Born in China, Lego: Dimensions and Lego: DC SuperVillains. Barnaby & Ed recently completed work on the BBC2 2-part documentary Snow Cats & Me, having previously worked on David Attenborough's The Wonder of Eggs.
Before graduating from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2014, Ed had written music for Osian Williams' BAFTA award winning film, Can i Emrys (best documentary short), as well as Channel 4's docu-drama, The Rochdale Pioneers. His writing credits now also encompass various promotional trailer campaigns, both domestic and worldwide; custom music for titles including the Netflix war drama Operation Finale, together with modern franchises such as Avengers: Infinity War, Injustice 2 and The Purge.
