As a composer, Ed has most recently completed work on Eva Lanska's short film Little French Fish. Previous work includes Chris Mul's paranormal thriller Astral, starring Frank Dillane (Fear the Walking Dead), as well as the soundtrack for Whilst the World Sleeps (dir. John Pank) and alien thriller Abduct, starring William B. Davis (The X-Files). Alongside writing music for the screen, he has written music for a variety of Hollywood promotional campaign material, including titles such as The Purge, Injustice 2, Avengers: Infinity War, and most recently the theatrical trailer for Operation Finale.
Based in Manchester, Ed's early career began whilst writing music for the C4 historical drama The Rochdale Pioneers, starring John Henshaw & Jordan Dawes, an industry start further boosted through work on short film; projects including Adam Awni's twisted thriller Bunny to BAFTA winning documentary (Best Short Form Documentary, Can i Emrys).
Since 2014, he has enjoyed extensive work alongside Ivor Novello winning composer Ian Livingstone, credits that include additional music, MIDI programming & arrangements for numerous titles; franchise highlights including Lego (DC Super-Villains, Dimensions, Marvel Superheroes 2) & Creative Assembly's Total War series. He is currently involved in various independent games projects, including the upcoming Lynchian dark-adventure, Grunnd.
In 2016, Ed began to work closely with Emmy award winning composer Barnaby Taylor, providing programming & arrangements for his work on Disneynature's feature length Born in China, recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Since then the pair have continued to successfully work on a variety of projects, from Disney's Ghost of the Mountains, through to UK documentary such as BBC2's Wonder of Eggs, presented by David Attenborough. The duo have recently finished work on the 5 part National Geographic documentary series, China's Hidden Kingdoms.
